One of the more unusual items we’ve seen recently.
A WW1 era prisoner of war work painted cow scapular or shoulder blade.
Made by a German ‘alien’ or possibly a spy while being held at the Newbury POW camp in 1914.
Coming to our May 15th Medals & Militaria sale.

Consigned yesterday, a fine interwar / WW2 era cavalry tunic for the 19th Hussars.
Actually worn to business meetings by the lady vendor in the 1960’s!
Coming to our February 28th Medals & Militaria sale.

Coming soon to our February 28th Medals & Militaria sale, this good example of a WW1 era enlisted man’s Saxony Pickelhaube.
Complete with both cockades and leather liner.

A grizzly reminder of the cost of war.
This WW2 Japanese Type 90 combat helmet has a clean bullet entry point to one side, and a larger and ragged exit point to other.
Almost certainly causing a fatal injury to its wearer.
