A pleasure to speak with John Harris & Tom Pollard on the Guardian politics podcast.
We discuss the government's latest attack on disabled people, PIP, the 'sicknote culture' and more.

For those interested in podcasts Politics Weekly UK devotes the second half of their show to 'sicknote culture wars' with Hannah Deakin and Tom Pollard. It doesn't mention the UN report but it does discuss Sunak's 'moral mission' last week.

Good to talk with John Harris & Hannah Deakin on this week's Guardian politics podcast about the government attack on 'sicknote culture'
We discussed the policies & politics, but also Hannah's lived experience & my perspective from NHS mental health work theguardian.com/politics/audio…
To do our bit for the kind of political journalism that involves the gap between speeches/posturing & real lives, half of tomorrow's Politics Weekly UK goes deep into the govt's latest attack on disabled people, with Hannah Deakin & Tom Pollard. Up at 5am!
Check out my clip on Channel 4 News on the government's aim to victimise disabled people alongside James Taylor Scope

What is it that #RishiSunak has against disabled people & carers? Most disabled people were not born with their disability & disability can strike anyone, at anytime. Nobody is protected. This will push more disabled people into poverty and feels like survival of the fittest.
It was great to speak to around 70 ladies at Burhill Golf Club on Tuesday, sharing my story, talking about the great work of White Lodge and raising awareness and understanding of disability. Thank you to the ladies captain, Debbie for choosing to support White Lodge this year.
It was great to speak at the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People DENS meeting 1.5 weeks ago. Speaking about my blog Hannah's Hope & how to set up a blog.
I have put my tips down in a blog in case it is helpful to others.👇
