Wanted to say thanks to my Anthropology professor from my first year of college for explaining the difference between gender and biological sex, and how our own culture's prudishness led to the general public conflating the two. Saved me a lot of catching up later in life.

My hot take is we should each work hard over the next couple years to get the Democratic candidates we want b/c that's how democracy works, but also realize that even if we get our favorites we're going to have to pressure them like hell to do the right thing, b/c see previous.

My only passionate take on the 2020 Democratic primary is voters should support and vote for candidates they feel passionate about and represent their values, worldview and politics, rather than attempt to game out who's "electable." Literally nobody knows.

Advice for 2020: 1. Focus on voter suppression. It makes no difference how great your candidate is if people can't vote 2. 2019 will be tumultuous and bring unprecedented crises. Measure candidates by how well they understand the new crises and what plans they have to fix them
