Staying hydrated and having fun!

Today we used our pattern blocks to work in teams. We created communities where we live, work, play, and solve problems!

Learning about Johnny Appleseed and then creating artwork with apple stamps!

Working on even vs odd with the book and activity Even Steven and Odd Todd!

Today we celebrated our EMC core values of earn and give respect, make responsible choices, and create safe spaces by gathering as a grade level to read the book: Ricky, the rock that couldn’t roll. We then painted beautiful rocks to place outside our front garden.

On this rainy Monday we went on a trip to the beach to explore our five senses, which will help to make our narrative writing more descriptive!

On Friday we placed our painted rocks outside the front office and had our first mystery reader!

Today we celebrated our local first responders and learned more about these wonderful community helpers!

Planting seeds for our next science unit on living things!

Ending the day with Spookley and a fun little STEM activity!

This morning we had so much fun, painting, our pumpkins, playing fall bingo, and doing some pumpkin science!

This afternoon, we dressed up in some pretty great costumes!

Today we worked with a partner to notice and note what some writers put into their narrative stories.

A great day filled with some former students inspiring us with their writing and serving as a mystery reader. Followed with some science where we created pollinators to learn how plants and animals depend on each other.

Today we learned about voting and the election process. The students then voted for a candy candidate in our little voting booth!

Today we learned about Veterans Day and wrote letters to thank the veterans in our lives.

I am grinning from ear to ear, because today I had two former students as our mystery readers. What an absolute delight!
