Today in Science we explored different materials and grouped them into translucent, transparent and opaque. We then chose which material would make the best curtain, we decided on an opaque cotton material 😊Elaine Primary

Today in Science, we have been using the puppets we made before half term to test how light sources create shadows. We found that the closer the light source, the bigger the shadow Elaine Primary

Today in Geography, we have been recapping our knowledge about continents. We focussed on Europe for todays lesson and have been identifying countries using maps and atlases Elaine Primary

Today Gill Class enjoyed an energetic dance lesson during P.E. We created four moves to an eight count beat and then performed to the class.

In Gill Class we have been using our mathematical knowledge to solve number day challenges. #NSPCC

In Gill Class we have been working hard on our double page spread for geography, based on human-made and natural physical features in the uk.

Gill Class are enjoying an immersive lesson, where their chosen story ‘The Ice Cream Palace’ from the core text ‘Telephone Tales’ was introduced.

Gill Class have been celebrating World Book Day! We have spent time reading our favourite stories, had a visit from Mary Poppins and designed our own front covers for our stories.

In Gill Class we have been writing our diary entries based on our chosen story ‘The Ice Cream Palace’ from our core text ‘Telephone Tales’. The children really enjoyed using their imaginations that everything was made of ice cream.

In Gill Class we have been creating a mood board in DT based on Italian food. There have been lots of discussion around what the children enjoy and what would be healthy meal choices.

In Gill Glass for English, we completed our double page spreads on Matthew Henson and his epic expedition to the North Pole from our core text “Race to the Frozen North.”

Today in Gill class we used the different continents to create a world map. We worked in groups to create a group world map and then created an individual world map for our books.
