I’d prefer the headline to be “needs to set standards by doing testing”

It would be a bad idea to set standards with no testing, since we’d get bad standards

And, at least as I understand it, ‘standards by testing’ is the plan at AISI already

I'm sad to see Geoffrey leave Google DeepMind, but our loss is the AI Safety Institute's gain!

I'm really excited to see what he achieves next, and that the AI Safety Institute is building some great technical safety capacity in government!
