A prayer on the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

We have prayed through all of our lives: God save the Queen. We now entrust Her Majesty to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and commit ourselves afresh to his service and to God's eternal kingdom. #HerMajesty

In this time of sorrow following the death of HM The Queen, the Cathedral remains a place of prayer. Join us for Morning Prayer at 7.10am, the Eucharist at 7.30am, or Evensong at 6pm We are open from 8am-4.45pm for private prayer, to light candles, or to sign the condolence book

Our church is open all day for anyone who wishes to light a candle, write in our condolence book, or spend time in silence and prayer. All are welcome.

Bless, O Lord, your servant Elizabeth: she is yours in death as she was in life. Enfold her in your loving mercy and fulfil in her the promises of your kingdom, through Christ our Lord. Amen

Almighty God, we give you thanks for Charles your servant and our King. Bless and protect him in all the years to come, grant him long to reign over us and give him gifts of wisdom and discernment as together we face the opportunities and challenges of our age. Amen.

Pilgrims have begun to arrive having completed their pilgrimage routes. The pilgrimage ends at the Shrine of St Frideswide and pilgrims are leaving sprigs of Rosemary, traditionally associated with Frideswide, at the Shrine.

A wonderful day of pilgrimage, blessed by sun and song. Thank you Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford for the prayer stations and pilgrim service which completed such a joyful day.
