After a fascinating and enjoyable year, I hand over the role of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire to Mark Hurrell. I wish him all the best and know he will be excellent in the role. I thank you all for your support and encouragement during the course of my year.

Greatly honoured to be at the Gloucestershire Police Impact Awards last night. Incredibly brave and dedicated Police were given Awards, deservedly applauded by their families.

Honoured to be at the Holocaust Memorial Srrvice this evening in Cheltenham. Very moving, and so important to remember what has happened before, so that it never happens again.

Very moving Remembrance service at Waterwells Police Station this morning. I was deeply honoured to be there to lay a wreath and read the moving poem 'In Flanders Fields'.

At 11am this morning we joined the rest of the country in observing a two-minute silence to mark this year's #ArmisticeDay . Across the county our officers and staff held remembrance services.

At Gloucester Crown Court this morning for 'Getting Court' when a group from a local school come into court to see what goes on. A great initiative started by a previous High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, and one which should be national.

Great to see the amazing work done at the Gloucester City Mission, which does so much for the homeless throughout the city. I am full of admiration. Thank you Kevin for explaining your wonderful work.

Great evening in Stonehouse at the Long Service Awards for the Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service. An honour to be there to pay tribute to our brave members of the Service.

At the haunted and (now) unused Gloucester Prison to welcome some brave and Hardy souls doing a sponsored sleepover to raise money for Young Gloucestershire, a charity that does so much good with young people.

Wonderful morning at the Butterfly Garden in Cheltenham this morning, seeing all the great things that Danny, Chris and Nathan are doing there. Providing a great place for so many with challenging lives, the work there is inspirational.

At Gloucester cathedral this morning awaiting the arrival of Jamie Alcock and his wonderful Shire Horses at the start of his charity journey. We heard from Sir Dusty Miller that following an accident with a car, trip was postponed. Really hope Millie the Shire is OK.
