Just received a lovely box from SalutetheNHS. Looks super-healthy & delicious. Been trying to avoidshopping as much as possible but only have a tiny fridge so increasingly living on canned food. This will be a real treat after a 13hr day. Thank you from a very grateful #NHS nurse!

Agree with this. As a nurse, I'm ridiculously grateful for a donated meal that means I don't have to go shopping after a long shift. But... we would not go hungry. Baked beans instead. Need to remember other key workers & those with no job at all too. theguardian.com/society/2020/m…

New UK #COVID19 drug trial using nebuliser and the nurses are still wearing flimsy aprons and surgical masks. Because govt says nebulisers do not generate aerosols. Clearly dishing out Β£60k per dead nurse cheaper than giving FFP3s to everyone. bbc.co.uk/news/health-52…

RT, but worth adding much specialist support is provided free. If you've never called the Samaritans, they're great, but they don't really provide support, more a space to talk through issues without advising - if that makes sense. E.g. for me Bipolar peer support: 07591 375544

Tried asking Oxfordshire County Council Ian Hudspeth OBE πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ for this on a busy, narrrow bit of pavement barely a metre wide with crush barriers. "Whilst I understand the reasoning behind this it would not be something we would consider for this location, for this reason. This report is now closed"

This has got to be the most meaningless crap ever, even from a government comms team specialising in meaningless #coronavirus crap. "#StayAlert" seems to mean observe social distancing if you can be bothered. No wonder the police have given up preventing a second wave.

Only things we learnt from the Stay Alert #BorisSpeech: - He couldn't even find one rabbit to pull from the hat, which means 1. Things are really bad. He's aware he could be the PM that killed 100k+. 2. He's sweating the eventual public enquiry and so can't lie his way out.

All the visuals #BorisSpeech used were terrible, but their key graph was simply wrong. The #COVID19 'R' value far exceeded 1 prior to lockdown, and had fallen before the peak. The idea the worst case scenario is to bob along around R=1 is disingenuous, dangerous and fanciful.

So just to confirm, we're being asked to work full time, on a crowded bus/train if no alternative, no matter how essential your job is, FIve days a week. But you can't see your Mum/girlfriend/boyfriend/whoever indefinitely, even once. Good luck getting compliance. #StayAtHome

#ThanksBoris - after #BorisSpeech I know I only need to stay alert rather than do anything worthwhile I've set some #coronavirus traps around my house. Sleep much more easy now. REMEMBER if you are using humane traps you must release covid at least 3 miles away or it will return

#BorisJohnson telling the commons that lockdown hasn't changed since March, but that people have been following it too well and he is trying to give people a shove to be a bit less lazy. tl;dr "This is all your fault for not understanding us, not our fault." Absolutely insane.

Rest of UK: change shift patterns, see as few people as possible. #NHS nurses: you must rotate to work on any ward at short notice, always with different colleagues & covid patients, 80 hour weeks, with a surgical mask & plastic bag apron for protection. We are ideal vectors.

Just realised how thick I am. The tacky graphics in #borisSpeech were to allow them to amend the speech and splice in new audio because Boris is too lazy to do the speech a second time, or live. Thought they'd just let the work experience kid do the production.

Is the government the first to devise a scale and then immediately use "roughly 3.5" as the starting point? And where 1 is almost certainly unachievable for decades? Stupid idea in a veritable sea of stupid ideas.

Can't even bear to watch the video. Exceptional care workers transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable people - and to be exceptional, you have to have a rich and deep variety of skills. To call them low skllled is insanely insulting.

The government are paying for sponsored articles in the Mail+ now. And their lead example of how we can all get back to work safely is a micro-business with four people working there Spice Kitchenβ„’. It's like a really badly done dystopia. dailymail.co.uk/femail/article…
