Last week we celebrated 20 years of HOPE Partnership with a lovely night at The Kate. We also honored some long time volunteers with "Builders of HOPE" awards!

Four (!) of these 10 markets where prices have jumped the most are in Connecticut!

This week we were lucky enough to be connected with some amazing researchers who provided us with some rental housing data from CoStar Group Via CHFA. In the Southern Middlesex County area, the average cost for a rental unit was $2,706 for the second quarter of 2024.

Similarly, there are models of development that are working in certain regions that could be easily adopted in others! HOPE's region shares characteristics with pretty much every part of Connecticut outside of the urban centers. We'd be happy to share our approach!

In the 20 years since HOPE was founded, housing went from something that was seldom, if ever, referred to in the public policy arena, to a top priority all the way from municipal to federal levels of government.
