I am beyond grateful that I had the chance to spend 6+3 additional months as a Guest Scientist in the Human Nutrition Team in EFSA. Our 2nd year PhD student Silvia Callegaro presented a poster at SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) National Congress entitled “Adherence to Italian dietary guidelines and its determinants during pregnancy: a cross-sectional study in Italian pregnant women”


Today at the SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) Congress 2025, Lorenzo Stella presented a poster on the evaluation and optimization of an AI-driven computer vision system for quantifying food waste. The project is led by the Computer Science Department at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and funded by OnFoods.


At the SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) 2025 Congress in Salerno, our research fellow, Tatiana, presented the results of a nudging intervention study promoted by OnFoods and aimed at developing best practices to encourage healthy and sustainable food choices in university canteens.


Our research fellow, Sharon Zaffuto, presented the preliminary results of the PRE-CARE-DIET study on the effect of personalized (poly)phenol-rich diets on cardiometabolic health at SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) 2025 Congress. The study is part of the PREDICT-CARE_ERC funded by European Research Council (ERC).


At the SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) 2025 Congress in Salerno, our PhD student, Perla Degli Innocenti, presented the Giocampus method and the European PRIMA projects Promedlife and SWITCHtoHEALTHY_EU. Proud to contribute to innovative approaches in nutrition education and MD promotion! 🇪🇺🥗



Our Federica Bergamo presented the “PROTOCOL OF THE LISTENING STUDY: Investigating Malnutrition and Metabolic Changes in Lung Cancer Patients to Establish Precision Nutrition Models “ at SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) Congress. This is part of the Mentoring study funded by European Commission.


Is it possible to improve eating habits with a mobile app? Our PhD student Damiano Callegaro tries to answer this question by presenting an RCT conducted on undergraduate students with a poster at the SINU (Italian Society of Human Nutrition) 2025 congress. The project is part of OnFoods


At the 5th Conference on Food Bioactives & Health in Marseille, 5th Conference on Food Bioactives & Health, our PhD student Cristiano Negro, presented the: "Unravelling the interplay among carotenoid levels, dietary patterns, and cardiometabolic health at the individual level through a multi-omics approach"



How much is the intake of dietary plant bioactives? 🍅 At the 5th Conference on Food Bioactives & Health, our PhD student Costanza Michelini presented a phytochemical food composition database to assess the dietary intake of plant bioactives, showing some results from the OPCT cohort.
