Going into every public toilet, writing 'MUSLIMS' on the door with my big sharpie and nodding my head to show I have some opinions on it

Perhaps, instead of protesting and encampments, the students can follow the path of Nelson Mandela, and express their distaste with the actions of the Israeli government on a podcast.

The irony is that Biden, after losing the support of everyone who opposed what Israel has been doing, will now lose the support of everyone who loves what Israel is doing. And all the while he facilitated a slaughter of historic proportions. For what?

This is actually a literary masterpiece, the mixture of strange phrases (every morning as I shave my head), ostentatious quotation, humility & self regard, floridity and bathos, it's like something Mr Biswas would write. Character revealed in a few paragraphs

That this imagery holds more political salience than the daily videos of decapitated children being pulled out of the rubble tells us a lot about how AI will actually be used, and who actually benefits from it

It does speak for itself, in that supporters of Israel have to resort to AI imagery to project aesthetics completely divorced from reality to justify why it's not only ok to starve children and bomb people living in tents, but also why people who object to it also need punishment

People will frame this as Sunak's downfall but from where I'm sat, it demonstrates the ways in which the Right has triumphed. They have taken over the Labour Party. Who cares if Tories are defeated if they are defeated in name only, they certainly won't. They'll just defect.

I always find it funny that that the right revere CLR James so. This is a nice, if a little laboured, essay on Beyond A Boundary that in arguing that sport and politics are always entwined somehow manages to erase James's politics from the picture
