#bashh2024 the NHS England TAF commissioning policy uses a cut-off of 18 for bone concern based on evidence about reversibility. The 25 year cutoff is DISCOVER is purely arbitrary. We see greater BMD decline in women on DMPA contraception but seem to worry far less? Why??
