A direct descendant of #TheRealMackay made contact with me thru a newspaper article, his mum left a message at #LogieSteadingbookshop His granny always had this print of her gt gt grandfather on her wall. He bought 12 signed books at Golden Hare Books for his dad's 70th birthday!!

Delighted to meet Lorraine at the Edinburgh International Book Festival & have her sign her fab new novel for my daughter Anna Deacon, co-author of wild swimming books with Vicky Allan. Gave her #TheRealMackay to read on the train with John MacKay's quote: 'A triumph of research and imagination!'
