I long for a return to the days when I didn’t know the names of the provincial chief public health officers, never mind have an opinion on their relative job performance.

I am tired of both the pandemic and this cold, snowy winter. But pretending either is over by discarding masks and other public health measures in the former case, or snow boots and parkas in the latter, won’t make it true. We ignore objective reality at our peril.

She is also living proof that the Peter Principle doesn’t always hold. Heather Stefanson clearly reached her level of incompetence during her tenure as health minister, yet she still managed to rise to the position of premier. She is an embarrassment to Manitoba.

Big thank you to GoGetter Moving for taking care of my pesky little delivery job, and without charging a 3-hour minimum like so many others do. Highly recommend, and will be using them again when next the need arises.

I think the best route to take to minimize pothole exposure may have superseded the weather as the #1 topic of conversation among Winnipeggers.

RIP, Mom. And if, in addition to peace, you have found Dad, Sharon, and all the family fur-babies, please give them hugs and ear scratches from me, as appropriate. Miss you already and forever. 😢 alternacremation.ca/tribute/detail…

I don’t care if she has a slurpee, and I doubt her words will compel others to do so. But the fact that she shed her cloak of invisibility for this, rather than to offer a concrete plan in light of the ongoing pandemic and struggling healthcare system, is beyond frustrating.

Dear Winnipeg Free Press I enjoy the convenience of your e-edition, and understand there will be occasional spacing or formatting glitches. But these have been getting worse in recent weeks, and today’s column by Dan Lett is pretty much unintelligible. Please do better.

Just some of the campaign literature received in Kirkfield Park, along with 10+ phone calls & multiple door-knockings by workers, candidates & leaders. If turnout is low in Tuesday’s by-election, we’ll be hard pressed to claim that we didn’t know about it! #vote

Good analysis of the methodological problems with the govt’s 40% claim. The campaign also assumes that people using ER/urgent care HAVE a family doctor & can get a timely app’t, & that walk-in clinics HAVEN’T posted their “no more appts today” signs when care is needed.
