We are back inside the facilities!! and today we had a birthday celebration for our executive director at BJN.

Last week I had the most educational and inspiring visit to Barry J Nidorf juvenile hall in LA - my first time visiting a juvenile facility. I was really impressed by the young men that I had the opportunity of spending time with.

They were doing victim impact work with families of crime victims through Healing Dialogue and Action and Asian Youth Center | AYC | asianyouthcenterorg. They were learning songwriting and music production from JailGuitarDoorsUSA.

Reflecting on this past year, there have been a number of significant developments and changes within our organization. We continue to work towards creating a world free from violence by helping one another through the journey of healing.

We believe that as a community we need to prioritize peoples healing journey. We believe that healed people, heal people. HDA accompanies people, that have caused harm and that have been harmed, on their own path to healing with love and validation. We see you, we love you.

Meet the smiles behind the hard work of Healing Dialogue and Action. We are a dedicated and compassionate group of individuals. We come from diverse backgrounds, bring unique skill sets, and possess a deep commitment to helping those who have been impacted by crime.

HDA supported the youth at Camp Kilpatrick as they received certificates. The youth were asked to talk about their Forward-Thinking Interactive Journals, DBT skills and Campus Kilpatrick core values. The growth in these young men has been so beautiful to see and to be a part of.

A big Birthday shout out today to Mr. Floyd one of our newest HDA team members! Floyd, we are blessed to have you working along side of us through this journey to heal others. Your presence and your smile brighten up anyone’s day, from playing the piano to singing you're awesome!

self-care is a crucial tool for coping with the stress of uncertainty. Taking care of oneself is not only important for personal well-being, but it is also crucial for the ability to help and support others. At HDA we advocate for self care for everyone!
