They would be blown away by dial up internet! I remember teenage angst in our home between those who wanted to be on the phone for hours and those who wanted to be on the internet.

My awesome friends and family have helped raise £75 for @mfrcashforkids by donating in place of presents for me, that's a whole bag for one child and half of another! I'm £25 away from having the value for 2 children to have something to wake up to on Christmas day ❤️

Of this painful trail to read - this is surely the nub - “we don’t listen to children’s stress, to feelings. We focus on behaviour.” Listening, holding those feelings, showing we care these are the fundamentals. But professionals need support to be able to carry that burden.

It's so important to us that families have opportunities to tell their stories, be heard and influence positive change. We were really pleased to be a part of the NDAS review. You can read the summary NDAS review reports here: thepineshighland.com/ndas-diagnosis…

I’m sure I do not have to remind you of the research that says investing early is the best way we can nurture society but in policy, that mostly means investing in those children aged 3+ bit.ly/3IH1Sse MadeForMums 💙 Prima Baby Magazine Family Lives

The fact that the Prime Minister may resign over a Christmas party + quiz, rather than his policies that hit the most vulnerable in society, says everything you need to know about British politics.

We worked with children affected by domestic abuse a number of years ago. They had no say in whether or not they saw their father, the family courts decided. The father’s right seemed to override the children’s right to have a voice in decisions that affected them.

A low age of criminal responsibility does not keep us safer, nor does it provide an effective remedy for those affected by the behaviour of children. Children and Young People's Commissioner Scotland nationalworld.com/news/crime/wha… cypcs.org.uk/positions/age-…

30 years ago today the UK ratified the UNCRC. Almost a year after it passed unanimously in Scottish Parliament the UNCRC is still not law in Scotland. Rights for under 18s must become be law ASAP so that they can get the legal protection that they need. 1/3

Children in conflict with the law need to be treated first and foremost as children. Scotland’s low age of criminal responsibility and the continuing detention of children in prisons paints a bleak picture of our commitment to children’s rights. sundaypost.com/fp/claire-ligh…
