This week, Hastings Catholic Schools students are joining in celebrating the canonization of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati and St. Carlo Acutis, which took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025. What a joy to celebrate these modern role models of faith!

Miss Bieck’s 1st graders have been learning about the states of matter, and today they focused on gas — with a bubbly twist! The class had a blast playing with bubbles to see how gas takes up space and moves around. Hands-on learning makes science come alive!

Mrs. Andersen’s Spanish 4 students took their learning out of the classroom with a special trip to El Puerto! As part of their assessment, students ordered their meals and practiced real-life conversation in Spanish.A fun (and delicious!) way to bring language learning to life!

Words are powerful. They can tear down or build up. In Mrs. Hogan’s classes, they’re choosing to build UP! Mrs. Hogan's wall is now a Shout Out Wall and is filling up fast! Students may grab a coffee cup note, write a “pump up” for anyone in the building. Join us in positivity!

Senior Vocations Day! Boys spent time at the seminary and girls with Marian Sisters. Each group had a tour, time to pray and time to interact. Boys even got a little time to fish, caught up with seminarians C Kuzelka '23 and I VanSkiver '24, and a personal tour by L Bykerk '20.

Alexa, STC Senior and FFA Chapter President, and FFA Secretary Nyla, visited St. Michael's to share her bee project with the 5th graders. Alexa started her Supervised Agricultural Education project, honey production and sales, in May 2022 and restarted the hive this year.

Last Thursday, members of St. Cecilia FFA traveled to Grand Island to attend Husker Harvest Days, the world’s largest totally irrigated working farm show! It was a fun and educational day, helping our students connect what they are learning in class with the future of agriculture!
