"If you look at reports that have been provided by independent, credible organizations, such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam International, it is clear that the [Biden] Administration decided not to reach the hard conclusions that the evidence supports." "There are no more words... we saw images of children blown to pieces, burnt to crisp, and I'm sorry to be graphic but that is what we saw this morning..." Bushra Khalidi from Oxfam

“We woke up to more images of destruction and death and a whole camp of tents on fire. These are displaced people, that have experienced relentless bombings and likely have lost their homes.” Said Bushra Khalidi, Oxfam’s Policy Lead to BBC News

Rafah in South Gaza became a refuge for over half of Gaza's population seeking safety. The Israeli ground invasion has forced more than 800K to evacuate again with nowhere safe to go. The Israeli government must adhere to the ICJ’s order. Photos from: Tel Al-Sultan, western Rafah

Palestinians are starving. Humanitarian organizations have seen firsthand that when famine is declared too many lives have already been lost from hunger. Israel’s systematic denial of humanitarian aid is making an already dire situation into a deadly one. #CeasefireNOW

“We exist. We deserve a life. We deserve human rights as anyone in the world.” Ireland, Spain and Norway formally recognised the state of Palestine. Ghada, Oxfam staff member in Gaza describes this as “a glimmer of hope” that more countries will follow. #CeasefireNOW

“We’re restricted in what entrances & routes we are able to use & also, we're restricted because of the bombings. We try to do what we can as long as our partners & our colleagues have the capacity and continue to deliver under heroic circumstances.” Said Oxfam's Bushra Khalidi

More proof that aid & humanitarian operations have been obstructed. More than 8 months into the war & 6 weeks since the Rafah incursion, decisions to 'surge' aid keep being made, ostensibly, yet here we are, deep into a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. haaretz.com/israel-news/20…

Yet again, COGAT is being petty & mendacious & conflating aid w/private sector goods, knowing most cant afford to buy them. The UN is clear about info it presents & is able & not able to verify, inclu based on its ability to station staff in areas to which Israel controls access
