Happy accident🙂: Our LiteX CI HW framework was meant for regressions, but it turns out it's perfect for production tests too!

Plug the hardware and it automatically load it, boot Linux (NaxRiscv here), and voilà — hardware is checked in a few seconds with a log report!

🪲Debugging diary: Without LiteScope, our Colorlight I9 Plus/LiteEth 1Gbps project was a no-go with OpenXC7. Switch it on, and everything falls into place—turns out it's was guarding vital signals from OpenXC7's overzealous pruning! 🥲🫠

Stop playing hide and seek with bugs! The fresh LiteX wiki page on JTAG/GDB RISC-V support for VexRiscv-SMP/NaxRiscv is your new game plan. 🕵️‍♂️ 🪲

github.com/enjoy-digital/…

Enjoy :)

Thanks Papon Charles for designing the CPUs and info to use the JTAG interfaces!

Assembling a small batch of LiteX Acorn Baseboard Mini that are very useful for LiteX dev and improving SerDes cores (LitePCIe, LiteSATA, LiteEth 1000/2500BaseX).

This is also a very nice board to discover the framework & cores!

For those interested, please get in touch by DM.

Now that Easter is over, we're making sure CERN's White Rabbit 🐇 doesn't get bored and are integrating it in LiteX based designs.

A big shoutout to GwenhaelGoavec for the first successful link-up between a LiteX Acorn Baseboard Mini and a WR-ZEN! 🎉

Testing the 100$ QMTech Wukong board which seems to be a very nice alternative to the Digilent Arty A7 that is now a bit expensive (>300$ 🥲). Also has:
- 1Gbps Ethernet instead of 100Mbps.
- HDMI Video Out.
- SDRAM (in addition of DDR3).
- 40 pins connector for extensions.

👨‍🍳In today's menu, we have two exquisite trays: one filled with Lattice FPGA boards and the other with Gowin FPGA boards. 🍽️ Which one will you choose? :)

New project to automate testing of LiteX SoCs on hardware and easily build/check various OSes running on it: github.com/enjoy-digital/…

This will be used to complement the LiteX CI alongside GitHub Actions.

Thanks to NLnet Foundation @[email protected] for helping to initiate and fund this work!

I wrote an article introducing 'LiteX' and explaining how to use it for 'FPGA Magazine', a Japanese hardware technology magazine.
.Enjoy Digital Thanks for the great open source hardware toolkit!
