Fantastic talk by Anthony from Nature Friendly Farming Network talking about nature friendly farming and his work at Quex Park as part of the Operation Turtle Dove project to a group of Kent farmers. Very inspiring ☺️

📢🐣NESTING SEASON HAS ARRIVED for #beachnestingbirds! Last year YOU helped us double the number of fledged chicks at the #PloversinPeril site- let's see what another successful year can do for a very special bird in decline! Find out how you can help👇 bit.ly/3MiPNxp

Amazing work by our Farm Manager Georgie Bray (Georgie Bray) demonstrating that nature-friendly farming can be commercially viable and benefit both us and wildlife at #RSPBHopeFarm! Kudos to the team and volunteers🙌 Link to the article: bit.ly/3KsiFAL

A lovely example of a small change to help #TurtleDoves by one of our landowners.🕊️ On poor soil this lawn won't grow tall but leaving it unmown allows plants to flower and seed. It also becomes food for insects and pollinators.🌱🌼🐝 #NoMow #LetItGrow #FarmWildlife 📸Eliza Leat

Amazing farmland bird northessexfarmcluster walk today. Great to be able to promote Game&WildConTrust #BigFarmlandBirdCount and offer help with surveys thanks to Essex Birdwatching Society volunteers. Got very close to the Great White Egret (circled) busy hunting voles in the 🍀 ley.

This beautiful place is Betteshanger Country Park. Home to Turtle Doves, Lizard Orchids and countless other rare species such as Fiery Clearwing moth. The future of this special place hangs in the balance as Dover District Council decides whether to allow a hotel and wave park to be built here

A thread on inappropriate (re)introductions. It’s a little long (sorry) and perhaps a little grumpy (sorry again). Arguing against the work of others is rarely a good look, especially as we are all, essentially, on the same side, but… 1/21
