It might be time to put it up for sale. I always preach to people ‘use them’, I am not. 😔 The joy of a owning and driving a Porsche. The thing is,… where to advertise it? #porsche #historic #rally car

Tsunami warnings are in place for all prefectures with coasts facing the Sea of Japan. Japanese TV urging people to run immediately to higher ground! This is serious. 5m waves expected in Ishikawa. #japan #earthquake

A great morning rowing down at CLSARC rowing club at Chester le Street. The sun even shone and no rain! 🤩 Thank you for hosting and we look forward to racing in the regatta season from next weekend at Durham! A nice win for our eldest and her crew mate racing WJ14 at J13 age.

If any government in future is serious about the legacy of the WW2 generation, then a trip to the Normandy Beaches should be a mandated secondary school trip. It's a reminder of what sacrifice really is. We owe them that in perpetuity.

"Of the 130 lads in my company, only 19 of us made it home. In those desperate battles they gave their lives for the peace we enjoy today." 🕊️ #DDay80

Every #DDay I come back to Harry Billinge ❤️ If you’re tempted to moan about something meaningless or complain today… watch Harry and think about what he, and many others, went through for the freedoms we all too often take for granted. There aren’t many of those heroes left

A very emotional moment as President Macron awards the Légion d'honneur to a Royal Navy Wren, Ms Lamb She made the maps that enabled D Day. A hero!

This was requested by the USA so that those landing in the DZ could have a France 🇫🇷 Normandy stamp on their passport dated 6 June 2024 (80th Anniversary), so actually very cool !

Could be a lesson in this for every member of parliament in the UK. Straight talking. Every MP should have to have worked in the private sector before they are allowed to stand as an MP. That way they have a broader understanding of what oils the wheels or makes them seize.
