Krypto is the harbinger of Rao, the demon of House El, the white comet of Krypton's vengeance. He lets his vassals live if they let him, scratch his tummy, and call him a good boy. Never forget that.

I also don’t love demonizing Krypton. They weren’t evil, they were apathetic. It takes away from the poignancy of their demise to go “oh those guys were just worse then humanity, we could never end up like them.”

I’m growing more of a fan of the idea that Clark's kryptonian resources are woefully damaged and incomplete. And what Clark CAN gleam out of them comes from a lot of trial and error. This improves when Kara enters the picture
