Our Kirk's dik-dik calf has now been named! HUGE thank you everyone who voted to help us name our tiny new arrival. You can spot Thistle exploring with the rest of the group alongside our East African crowned cranes and vulterine guineafowl 💛

Snow leopards, like all big cats, have tiny spines called 'papillae' on their tongues 👅

Papillae are made from keratin (just like our fingernails) and help snow leopards groom themselves and strip meat from bones 🥩

Adult dik-diks stand about 30–40 centimetres tall making them one of the smallest members of the antelope family 💛

Our red-bellied and ring-tailed lemurs are back on show following the renovations in their indoor enclosures 🔨

Top tip: Lemurs love to lounge outside in the sunshine so keep an eye out for them in their outdoor enclosure over the coming days 🌞
