Grateful for Robison Lab at MSU's commentary on our work in Biological Psychiatry on histamine-induced plasticity in the NAc. Eager to get back at it! Histamine Regulates Accumbens Microcircuits: An Arousing Finding for Addiction Research biologicalpsychiatryjournal.com/article/S0006-…

Looking forward to what is sure to be a spectacular talk by VUMC Anesthesiology BH Robbins Scholars Program #pstp Visiting Professor Dr. Sean Mackey, Chief of Stanford Pain Medicine

I am beyond honored to share that I was awarded the best oral presentation award at today’s 18th annual VUMC Anesthesiology symposium. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to my share work today 🥺

#eNeuro: Alexis Jameson, PhD Dr.ErinCalipari @grueterlabvandy et al. Vanderbilt School of Medicine show DA signaling in the NAcc of mice is altered by photoperiod. This occurred in females, showing sex-specific impacts of photoperiod on synapses regulating motivated behaviors. eneuro.org/lookup/DOI/10.…

In grad school we found that stress increased endocannabinoid levels in the amygdala… it only took 20 years to figure out how and what they do!! Final chapter of Veronika Kondev, PhD thesis with special thanks to Yulong Li Lab Grueter Lab! cell.com/cell-reports/f…

We are excited to share Kim Thibeault's paper Biological Psychiatry. We show that repeated cocaine exposure decreases the number of cocaine-activated neurons in the nucleus accumbens. This smaller ensemble of neurons controls behavior more robustly. doi.org/10.1016/j.biop… A thread:

Big congrats to Cody Siciliano, PhD on his newly awarded Keck Foundation Grant! This prestigious grant is providing funding to study the neural mechanisms of chemical sensation in the mouth - and how this relates to alcohol use disorder. Learn more here: news.vanderbilt.edu/2024/07/24/pre…

Congrats to our very own Dr.ErinCalipari on the Jacob P. Waletzky Award from Society for Neuroscience (SfN) recognizing her work on addiction! Find out more about the award here: sfn.org/initiatives/aw…

Speaking of which, Vanderbilt Center For Addiction Research is hiring! If you work on addiction (or even basic science that is relevant to addiction) and want to do that in an amazing environment you should apply: nature.com/naturecareers/…

We are hiring! In partnership with Vanderbilt Molecular Physiology & Biophysics, we invite applications for a senior or mid-career faculty position in areas related to substance use disorder. This is an excellent opportunity to do science in an amazing environment. jobs.sciencecareers.org/job/662480/fac…

🎉 Congrats to Dr.ErinCalipari, director of Vanderbilt Center For Addiction Research for winning the 2024 Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Jacob P.
