The bumbles prefer the poppies to phacelia now. I have two nests in the garden. It's like living at the drive-through 😂

Apparently, I had a third bumblebee nest, found one this morning dug out by a badger. Bees still going back to it from my pollinator terrace, who knew I'd be feeding badgers.

Turkish sage is everywhere at the moment. Why have I never seen it before?

It's a great plant, but doesn't do well in a pot so you don't see it in garden centres much.

would this be Phlomis fruticosa, aka Jerusalem Sage, as if so then I found this an excellent plant for overwintering ladybirds, - note, some folk find it irritant

Standing up on top of one of the Cheesewring stacks today, looking out across the view of Cornwall, wind in my face, I couldn't help but contrast the moment with all the shitty ones during chemotherapy last year. Do it today. Say yes. Bottle the moments.

Gutted to read of Sara Venn's passing. I know she hadn't been at all well for some time but had hoped that her optimistic Instagram posts would see her on the right side of recovery. She gave an inspirational talk to our allotment assoc in 2018 and never did bill her travel. 🙏
