Cllr @Ian_Corkin (Con, Ploughley): “I remain ready to work with Kate Gregory (she/her) on the [SEN] resource base issue. But from a political point of view the two tribes are wedded to each other now.”

Con leader Cllr. Eddie F. Reeves: “Their plan B was always to swallow whole the Labour amendment. They voted for a £56m tax bombshell. We will vote against this with our heads held high.”

Cllr Liam Walker (Con, Hanborough): “The LibDems have buckled to Labour. It’s a desperate bid to keep control of the county council. The election’s looming next year and you want to keep hold of power. The anti-motorist coalition is back and residents are picking up the tab.”
