As a hitting coach, if hitters want to impress me, drive the ball opposite field. If I watch Batting Practice and see a kid pull 8 pitches in a row and just try to pull. It shows me you're not a complete hitter. I want to see kids spray the ball to both sides of the field.

Quick update: I know I have received quite a bit of messages over the last week, week and a half that I have not gotten back to. Be patient as I have been getting everything situated with moving down to Beeville. I will get back to everyone who has messaged me the last week.

Myself and the rest of the coaching staff had some fun taking BP with our new Trackman in today. Topped out exit velo at 97 mph. Not bad for an old retired ballplayer. Lol

This is seriously the most one-sided officiating I have witnessed, in the Arsenal vs Brighton match. Arsenal is getting mugged on the pitch and no calls are even thought of. Brighton gets tapped and they get every foul. Let them both play. Or be balanced on your calls

My workout group is growing! Love that these young men continue to want to get extra work with me. They say that I continue to be motivation and inspiration for them But really they are motivating me. They keep me young for sure. Lol

Love seeing these young men show up and work. The growth they have shown these two months is evident. Stay the course boys and keep working.

Best part of my job is being able to be a positive influence to the athletes I coach. What they don't know, is they are influencing and motivating me. Love these guys and how much they are willing to work. Biggest single group I've had come out for extra lifts.

Saddened and devastated to hear yesterday afternoon, one of my players from my summer team I coached in California passed away Monday evening. He was a good young man that had such positivity about him. My prayers for his parents, family, and loved ones who are grieving.
