I've submitted my abstract for this year's BPS Cyberpsychology conference! 🤞I get accepted and have the opportunity to talk about the findings from the last study of my PhD

Last seminar before Easter and my students did a great job of summarising two really complex amnesia case-studies into posters! These are long, dense papers and they did really well in picking out the key information to explain their studies to the group 🧠

Spring on campus is my absolute favourite time of year

Finally feeling like spring! 🌸💐🪻A great day - I love how scenic my walk to work is at this time of year, and got to interview some great MSc students who'll hopefully be working with us over the summer on stakeholder engagement and content analysis!

The first time I delivered this seminar (2020) I had no personal experience with qualitative methods in my own research. 3 1/2 years into a mixed-methods PhD, I feel much better equipped to give advice and answer student questions on this topic. (ft. my favourite coffee mug)

First seminar of a new module! Had a great student-led discussion all about intelligence, process overlap theory, and the validity and utility of IQ tests. Great to be back teaching!

Finished the draft of my general introduction for my thesis, and it's all starting to become very real😬 It was a tough thing to write, but I feel that the ideas underpinning my research are much clearer to me now and I can see how it's all going to come together in the end!

I've only got a few more working hours of the year and before the Christmas party to finish this section of my thesis - time to pull out the big guns!
