No shade to Victor LaValle at all & I’ll be pleased if he’s announced to be the writer for the next Black Panther solo but I also would have loved for Cheryl Lynn Eaton to get the job, not only bc she actually likes T’challa but bc it’d be great to have another woman writing BP

T'Challa's proximity to femininity is one of his most interesting traits. Draws power from a goddess, closest familial bonds are mother and sister, protected by female bodyguards, and of course the Ororo Munroe of it all. A great writer would explore this in a healthy way.

This February, Black Panther will be getting a 60th Anniversary anthology special! There will be stories by various authors about T’Challa himself, Storm, Kasper Cole, as well as teamup stories with T’Challa with Blue Marvel and a teamup Magneto during his time in Genosha!
