We wish all Indigenous staff, students, & families a safe and enjoyable National Indigenous Peoples Day! June 21st corresponds to the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Many Indigenous Nations celebrate their cultures at this time of year, a tradition for centuries.

Today we acknowledge #Emancipation Day, marking the Slavery Abolition Act. We continue to reflect, educate & engage in the ongoing fight against anti-Black racism & discrimination.

Rick Hansen PS held their 3rd annual Iftar Potluck for grade 7/8 students! Organized by the school's Settlement Worker and Equity Club, the evening brought together students, staff & community to share a meal & celebrate the spirit of togetherness that Ramadan represents. 🌙✨
