If this was just Labor cutting their own noses to spite their own faces who would care but they are cutting every renter's wellbeing in NSW

The 'Twitter Blue' debacle has shed light on one of capitalisms greatest flaws - the necessity of suffering. If billions can be wiped out by an impersonator claiming to make insulin free, or to end weapons sales to war criminals, then it proves that these companies rely on pain.

So sad that yesterday was my Greens colleague Member for Balmain Jamie Parker's last Question Time in the NSW Parliament. Auspiciously 6000 political prisoners today were released in Myanmar, a country and people he has stood shoulder to shoulder with. Jamie Parker

Experiences like Jeremy’s should never happen – instead they’ve become the norm. The Greens will fix the system that allows ruthless landlords to get away with huge rent increases and unfair evictions. We’ll freeze and cut rents and ban unfair evictions. theguardian.com/australia-news…

As well as cooling schools in Western Sydney how about all public schools in NSW have air conditioning! And while you're at it how about addressing the chronic teacher shortage, and resourcing every student 100% of their funding entitlement !

With 10,000 public school teachers needed in NSW over the next decade, and an extreme teacher shortage across the state in the thousands, the Perrottet govt thinks performance pay for 300 teachers is the answer! Do your homework Dom. Do the math. Fail.

"The three Greens in the Assembly give Labor another option to take office if the party falls short of majority. Assuming no Labor losses to the crossbench, a Labor net gain of six seats plus the three current Greens would give Labor plus the Greens a majority." Antony Green

The education minister has appointed a special chief behaviour adviser to support schools. We used to have 1100 specialists working with teachers in public education. We now have 70.

Why does King's School - one of Australia's richest schools need $21 million in government funding each year, when it can afford to fork out $15 million for six hectares of cleared and native bushland adjoining Lane Cove national park?

Grateful to the Minister for Planning Paul Scully MP for agreeing in Question Time to give an extension of time for Byron Council to propose a 60 day cap on unhosted Short Term Holiday Letting in Byron Shire per the Independent Planning Commission's recommendations.

Great news for renters this morning 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 We’ve worked to expose, and put a stop, to rental auctions. From the moment we saw this bill we knew that this proposal would exacerbate the rental crisis, drive prices up, and pit renters against eachother. theguardian.com/australia-news…

Today the Minns govt walked away from an agreement with over 70000 public school teachers to significantly improve their pay and conditions. The Greens stand with our teachers and the NSWTF to demand an immediate resumption of good faith negotiations.

*Breaking news* Finally we are getting a 60 day cap on Short Term Rental Accomodation in Byron Shire 👊🏽 We have to wait another 12 months 🙄but we will take it. Congratulations to the thousands of advocates who have championed for over a decade.
