Data Centre traffic is ever-growing, which is bringing us closer to another industrial revolution😲 The sector has grown in a linear fashion, creating the largest waste stream in the world🌍 The CEDaCI aims to reduce the e-waste caused. #GreenTechSW

Their action plan, published in 2015, focuses on sectors that use the most resources. This includes: ♻️Electronics ♻️Battery Production ♻️Vehicle Manufacturing Adopting these practices will also create jobs... up to 4 million in fact!😲 #GreenTechSW

The below graph breaks down the operational & embodied carbon impact of servers, pre-lifecycle assessment😳 The wider impact is significantly equalised post assessment, when taking other non-carbon factors into account. #GreenTechSW

The CEDaCI comparison tool uses LCA to assess the lifecycle of your equipment and its environmental impact, with an aim to raise awareness and increase voluntary change across the DCI🙌 #GreenTechSW
