We are looking forward to sharing our new digital tool - produced following our First Last Mile Project. Putting the user at the centre of our approach to strategic transport planning is a core principle for EEH. This tool is already proving its value to us and our partners.

Today, #IWD2021, I celebrate all the amazing women I know who inspire - showing women of the future how possible and necessary it is to break boundaries and be ‘the first’. And I celebrate the men who, alongside women, see that change for what it is - the opportunity for better.

After many years of local campaigning, I am delighted that the A509 Isham Bypass was today approved by HM Treasury to proceed to its next stage of development. The Bypass was a priority for investment by England's Economic Heartland transport body and now has the support of Government too... Peter Bone

A transport system planned without the right representation of the many will be a system that is unconsciously planned for the few. That's why we're proud that 6 out of 9 members of the EEH team are women. Here's their advice to others looking to join the sector #IWD2022

We also published our three year plan - setting out what we are doing to secure the investment our region needs to deliver our contribution to local places and the UK as a whole.

To all the young women and parents of young women - meet these two brilliant ladies who are both contributing so much to the transport system in our region. Both come from an engineering background and each have ended up specialising in completely different areas of work. #IWED22
