Miss…. HIT!!! Y5 had a fantastic maths lesson today using their coordinate plotting knowledge to play battleships with their learning partner. 🚢

This afternoon, Year 3/4 Cherry Class have been developing their coding skills by creating algorithms to control a character's movement. 🐱

This afternoon, Year 5/6 enjoyed taking on the role of a palaeontologist where they were required to excavate ‘fossils’ from a chocolate-chip cookie!

This week, Year 5 explored different painting techniques including: stippling, sgraffito, stencilling and scumbling to create their own pieces of art inspired by Brazilian culture.

Our Reception role play club was lots of fun tonight! With a figure hunt, lots of imaginative play and a puzzle to solve, we were certainly very busy! Well done Reception! 😀

Children learned about volcanoes today through an exciting erupting volcano experiment. They observed reactions, discussed the eruption process, and practiced early scientific skills like predicting and observing cause and effect. #EYFS #STEM

Today in EYFS, we investigated what dinosaurs ate! Children explored the difference between herbivores and carnivores, learning about their diets through a ‘dinosaur poo’ investigation. A hands-on way to spark curiosity about the prehistoric world!!

Well done Year 6! We are so unbelievably proud of your hard work and determination this week. To celebrate, we have played rounders, enjoyed a picnic and finished the week watching Holes with ice lollies!

Year 3/4 had a blast watching their celery slowly change colour as food dye travels through the xylem within its stem! We love being scientists!

Year 1 took their learning outside today and had a fantastic morning at Alvecote Woods 🌿

Year 2 have been working hard this afternoon in science to research what animals need to survive. They created some fantastic posters to showcase the key knowledge they had learnt. Great work Y2! 🦁🐶🦓

We finished our final session of ’Forest Fun’ club this half term with laughter, games and ice-lollies! Well done to all the children who attended all sessions.

This week, Year 5/6 have developed their own travel leaflets and brochures to persuade customers to visit their newly-refurbished Camp Green Lake. Ideas included a waterpark, luxury fishing lake, water-sports centre, holiday park and many more. 🐟 🏝️ 🌊 ⛺️

Year 5 had a brilliant maths lesson exploring angles today! They showed amazing resilience, curiosity, and inquiry—just a few of our key learning traits. Well done, Y5! 👏

Tennis club spent their last session playing competitive matches using official scoring. Mrs Lewis has been tremendously impressed with the progress of every child over the last 4 weeks! 🎾
