If we did the opposite the people of our state would SOAR (as will our rankings).

A simple and non-exhaustive formula:
1. End the giveaways for the rich and industry, tax them more.
2. Cut taxes for working people and the poor. Stop robbing TANF funds.
3. Invest heavily in

The La GOP still pretends Long-ism is the cloud over our state. That ended decades ago. We've sunk into the doldrums because of right-wing reactionary politics and trickle-down economics (sides of the same coin).

There’s just nothing left to give away to the wealthy and industry unless they take it from you in the Const Conv.

50 years driving down the road of trickle-down economics has gotten us a poor, broken, racially-divided state.

This is the story of Louisiana— and the rest of the

Terrible, terrible bill. The Govenor’s Mansion belongs to the people of Louisiana. Why do the records need to be kept secret??

Another RIDICULOUS bill. How are teachers going to explain the word adultery to students when we don’t allow sex education to be taught in Louisiana public schools?

Reupping my story from last fall on how Gov. Landry has taken private plane rides from some of his biggest donors without reporting them. He's currently battling charges by the Ethics Board he seeks to take over: nola.com/news/politics/…

Landry is desperate to pass this now before voters find out how much it will cost. Will be harder to justify the exorbitant price tag next year as Louisiana faces fiscal cliff.

Anything the constitutional convention tries to put in statute will be thrown out since that’s not something a constitutional convention has the legal authority to do. Then that item won’t be in the constitution or statutes and that’s their plan, that’s the point. That’s the

According to a poll by NOLA.com, no group is all that happy with their quality of life in Louisiana. But white Republican men over the age of 45 are most likely to be happy here. And 1 in 4 younger people and 1 in 5 Black people have plans to leave in the next 5 years.
