Small Animal Management students learned about guinea pigs, rabbits and ferrets this week. Thanks to Greens Pet Store, students have practiced handling techniques on mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits so far! #GISDgr8ness

This week Small Animal Management students helped tame a young sugar glider while witnessing many behavior changes with our little “Diva”.

With the help of our Tarleton PD student teacher, Ms. Smith, our Vet Med students were able to learn and practice various methods of animal restraint today in class! This included how to properly hold an animal and apply muzzles to keep everyone safe. Thanks, Ms. Smith! Granbury High School CTE

Rango (Schneider Skink), Echo (Iquana) and Randall (Leopard Gecko) were all great companions to students this week as the learned about various reptile species. Next week is our last week of Small Animal Management, and we plan to end our class with a special guest! #gisdgr8ness

To end our Small Animal Management class, we learned about snake handling, species, and husbandry. Students & staff conquered fears that most adults never get an opportunity to do. Thank you,Green’s Pet Store, for allowing students to learn these animals hands-on! #gisdgr8ness

Students in Equine Science have partnered with Ms. Pratt from Brazos Carriage Company to give students in ag a hands-on experience learning about horse breeds, care and uses of horses in the community!

Granbury FFA members traveled to Stephenville today to compete at our Area CDE (Career Development Event). The results are in!! Livestock and Range are going to 💥STATE💥 Everyone was SO CLOSE today, we are extremely proud of everyone who competed!

We had a great turnout to our FFA banquet! Thank you to all the students, parents and school staff who came to acknowledge our students success this year!

Our FFA officers have been at the 94th Texas FFA Convention since Tuesday. They have enjoyed going to sessions, listening to state officer retiring addresses, voting in the business meeting & watching some of our own students walk the stage to receive their Lone Star degree!

Our FFA officers had a great time Thursday welcoming freshmen, recruiting them to our FFA program, and showcasing what activities we have done over the years. We are excited for the new activities, adventures, and memories we will make this year!

Special thanks to all who came out today to help clean the ag barn. We couldn’t keep this place running without your help! Also, shout out to DCBE Fire Department and Captain Grossman for allowing us to use the brush truck to spray down and deep clean the walkways and walls.
