It was great to get an update on the ambitious sustainability agenda at Glasgow Airport ✈️ today and to see the Emirates A380 land. It’s some sight.

I met Duncan and Margaret Spiers whose son Christopher died after falling into the River Clyde in 2016.  They have helped to develop a floating lifebelt rope, which is already saving lives

This won't attract any attention today but the Public Audit Committee heard that roughly £100m a year in tax is owed in Scotland every year due to employers not paying it for their staff. Incredible.

I used to live in Newcastle but never visited the castle which gives the city its name. I was back at the weekend for a jazz gig and went there. It’s fantastic.

While the Scottish Parliament has been in recess I have been on nine ferry trips and only felt a bit off on the last one.

The David Tydeman sacking led to an urgent question in which the minister behind it, Mairi McAllan, gave a series on non answers. We have yet to hear from Mr Drummond's ultimate boss Fiona Hyslop on why she got rid of him.
