Critical materials demand for the energy transition is expected to grow over 400% by 2030, causing significant supply deficits. The natural graphite deficit is anticipated to widen 46% by 2030 (Visual Capitalist). #BEM's GAMP is well positioned to contribute to a secure future supply.

In November Grafintec Oy received €232,000 of additional grant fund from Business Finland, as part of the BATCircle3.0 consortium. The new project, 'Management and Valorisation of Waste Streams in the Coated Spherical Graphite Production Process', will support GAMP's development.

The #battery sector is expected to grow in line with rising demand for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. Benchmark Mineral Intelligence estimates the required investment into this sector to surpass $1.6tn by 2040, including $5bn in natural graphite and $43bn in anodes (Visual Capitalist).

Beowulf holds one of Europe's largest flake graphite deposits at Aitolampi with an Indicated & Inferred resource of 26.7Mt at 4.8% graphite for 1.275Mt of contained graphite. Test-work has demonstrated this can be upgraded to battery grade graphite at a purity of >99.95%.

#BEM and Grafintec Oy successfully demonstrated a ‘state-of-the-art’ and robust process flowsheet for production of #battery grade spheronised #graphite with significantly lower environmental impact at the GAMP as part of its Business Finland funded project.

#BEM benefits from Scandinavian renewable energy investment. In 2022, 70% of Sweden's & 56% of Finland's power generation was via renewables (Visual Capitalist). Grafintec Oy's GAMP will be powered by renewable electricity & Kallak will benefit from existing clean energy infrastructure.
