Friday, 05/09/2025: Trails Open. There are still some soft spots out there but everything should dry very quickly as the sun comes out. I’d avoid twin oaks and Lyle’s Loop on the mountain bike until this afternoon.

Trail Status Update: Friday 05/23/2025 All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mile hiking only Discovery Trail, are closed. Bicycles are not permitted on the Discovery Trail.

Trail Status Update: Friday 05/30/2025 All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mile hiking only Discovery Trail, are closed. Bicycles are not permitted on the Discovery Trail. We had over 6” of rain. The Aquifer loved it. Trails, not so much.

Trail Status: Friday June 6, 2025 All Trails, except for the protected habitat area, are OPEN! Dino tracks are probably still under water, so please use caution at the crossing.

Trail Status: Saturday 06.14.2025 All trails with the exception of the 1.25 mile Discovery Trail, are CLOSED. This picture is from one of our internal roads Thursday morning. We’re still drying out. Thanks for your patience as the Aquifer soaks it all up. 📸Ranger Lindsey

Trails update for Monday, 6/23: Trail conditions have improved, and all trails except the ProHab Area are OPEN. Be careful out there...some areas may still be muddy. If you find a downed tree or major washout, please note your location, take a pic if you can, and notify staff.

July 4, 2025 Trail Status Update. All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mile hiking only Discovery Trail are closed. We’ve received a good bit of rain and it’s still coming down. Recharge!

Trails update: Sunday 06 July 2025 All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mile hiking only discovery trail are closed. Rain chances are starting to decrease so hopefully they’ll start to dry out.

Trail Status Update: Friday, July 11, 2025 All trails, except the protected habitat area, are OPEN!

Friday, July 18th - All trails are OPEN.

Trail Status Update: Saturday August 16, 2025 All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mile hiking only Discovery Trail, are closed. Bicycles are not permitted on the Discovery Trail. We will monitor trail conditions and update this evening.

Trail Status Update: Sunday 08/31/2025 All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mile discovery trail, are closed. Bicycles are not permitted on the discovery trail.

Trail Status Update: Sunday, September 7, 2025. All trails, with the exception of the 1.25 mi hiking only Discovery Trail are Closed. We received over 1.5” of rain on the north end of the Canyon yesterday and trails are still very saturated.

Trail Update: Saturday Oct 25, 2025 With the storms last night and the much needed rain still falling, all trails, except for the 1.25 mi hiking only Discovery Trail, are closed.

Trail Update: Monday 10/27/25 Adrián Lamo:40am Trails have not firmed up enough to open. We will re-evaluate by 1pm. All trails with the exception of the 1.25 mi hiking only discovery trail are closed.

Trail Status Update: Friday October 31, 2025. All trails are Open.

TRAIL UPDATE: We have had some more beautiful, refreshing rain, but this means that ALL TRAILS are CLOSED, except for the hiking-only, 1.24-mile Discovery Trai. Bikes are not allowed on the Discovery Trail, but it is leashed dog-friendly!

Alert!! We are sold OUT un 1pm. Existing reservations for the 7am-11am entry window are still welcome.
