🚨 It's time for my annual Pothole Patrol tour, Wisconsin. 🚧 Since 2019, we've improved more than 8,600 miles of roads statewide. And we aren’t stopping there. You’re darn right I’ll be out filling potholes and fixing the darn roads.

Republicans’ bill will kick millions of Americans off Medicaid. Republicans’ bill will jack up costs on groceries for Americans. Republicans’ bill will give tax breaks to the wealthiest people in America. This is not what Wisconsinites want.

Republicans plan to cut Medicaid and food assistance, which will mean millions of Americans will lose access to affordable healthcare and kids and families will go hungry—all so Republicans can give tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations.

Pothole Patrol update! We were out filling potholes yesterday in Wausau—just off Grand Ave. You could drive from Wausau to Disney World—and BACK—THREE times on the number of miles of roads we've fixed since 2019. And we've got miles to go!

👷 The second stop on my annual Pothole Patrol tour took us up to Ashland! I've been proud to secure historic increases to fix the darn roads, and my next budget continues that commitment with a $100 million investment in local road improvements statewide.

We have three branches of government in this country for a reason.    Republicans are helping President Trump undermine our constitutional checks and balances so he can give himself sole power to make decisions unchecked.

Bad, bad news. Clearly, this isn’t about efficiency or saving money. It’s about giving tax cuts to billionaires and big corporations at the expense of our kids, families, seniors, and veterans by cutting critical programs like Medicaid.

Good.

Wisconsin’s forests and our forestry industry play a critical role in our Wisconsin way of life—and our economic success. I'm urging the Trump Administration to prevent any federal funding and staffing cuts that will negatively impact this crucial Wisconsin industry. ⬇️

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Folks, Wisconsin's kids are struggling perhaps now more than ever. We cannot look back years from now and wish that we did more and sooner to address the state of mental health in Wisconsin.

ICYMI: The cost of child care is too darn high. The Legislature must do more than nothing in this biennial budget to support our child care providers and working families, or care for kids is only going to get more expensive and harder to find. We'll be in a world of hurt.

It was great to take a tour of Xcel Energy's Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant to learn more about their work to power communities. We're working to build a more sustainable future, so my budget supports studying the feasibility of expanding nuclear power in Wisconsin.

As we celebrate #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, Kathy and I are encouraging folks to take good care of themselves and each other. Having honest conversations about our mental health is so important. Take good care, Wisconsin!

It couldn't be clearer: Republicans are planning to cut critical programs that kids, families, seniors, and veterans depend on every day, while giving massive tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. The rich will get richer. Simple as that.
