Our country has never been a democracy. Can we stop calling it one?

The appropriate prayer at the inauguration would be “Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, please have mercy on us and give us time to repent. If there be but 10 righteous in our country, please spare us from the judgement that we deserve.”

Modern man is alone with his thoughts too seldom and is alone with the thoughts of others too often.

Does one single living person believe in works based salvation? I’ve not met a single person or seen a single tweet of a person who believes this. Everyone just claims other people believe a thing that they don’t. Pelagianism is a heresy and everyone agrees. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I’ve not seen a child wearing a cast in years. Do kids not break bones anymore? There was a new cast to sign in class at school every month growing up.

Behold, this is the season of repentance. Let us put away the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light, so that we may navigate the immense ocean of Lent, and arrive at the third-day Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Savior of our souls.

To the Christian, no man is our enemy. Our enemies are dark spirits and our battlefield is our heart. The spirit of prudence, humility, patience and love are our weapons that we might use to see our own faults and not to judge our brothers. Blessed season of repentance.

Public debate has not proven to be an effective method of changing minds, only good for driving podcast views. Perhaps it is time to debate important matters privately amongst brothers and simply let outsiders know that are to stay outside unless they wish to join the community.

Many think tweets drive political or religious change and outrage helps with “awareness”. Unfortunately, fellow man, it doesn’t. A chat with a friend near a fire may. Can we have more of that?

A key feature of the town square is that one must look others in the face and say what they wish at the risk of physical harm should their message be rude or blasphemous. There is no digital town square. Mostly just senseless bickering of anonymous simpletons. Like me.

Public Service Announcement: Salvation (or being saved) doesn’t mean “goes heaven”. Faith never meant believing a thing is true. A husband doesn’t care if his wife believes that their marriage is real. He cares that she is faithful. The same for the Bridegroom and his Church.
