Sometimes mistaken in the UK for Acacia dealbata but A. mearnsii flowers in summer and as well as a gland at the base of each pair of leaves it also has glands on the stem between them (look on the underside). And A. dealbata is hardier AusPlantSoc

Isn’t it gorgeous I’ve had it in a pot for years but I’ve not had much success when I’ve planted it out -?still trying to find the right spot AusPlantSoc

This could be my all time favourite bottlebrush, Callistemon citrunus ‘Burgundy’. Incredible colour at the moment and much loved by the bees. Find it in a huge clay vase on the entrance terrace RHS Garden Wisley along with many others. 🐝

This one shines in the sun too Goodia lotifolia, golden-tip or clover tree #ozplants Took a while to get going but now it has flowers most times of the year though not always as many as this AusPlantSoc
