I was 1 of >10 coaches at a tournament. I saw a ton of talented players whose coaches said the players had very little recruiting interest. The “if you’re good enough, they’ll find you,” isn’t true. If a coach shows interest in you, it’s a big deal in today’s recruiting world.

Cam Schlitter's average velocity freshman year of college at Northeastern was 88.8mph. By his junior year, it was 90.4mph. Last night, it was 98.9mph. So maybe don't worry if your 15-year-old son isn't already committed to a SEC program?
