12 people have died in the Channel; 6 were children. As we mourn them, we hope that yet another tragedy, in addition to anti-trafficking measures, accelerates long term responses: safe pathways, cooperation among states, more aid upstream to stabilize flows, conflict resolution.

FINDING DURABLE SOLUTIONS & INCLUSION.UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency Director for West & Central Africa @Gnonkond has expressed gratitude to Ecowas - Cedeao for its financial & moral support to forcibly displaced persons in the region during a meeting with Ambassador Fanta Cisse in Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮.

Reg Director Abdouraouf Gnon Konde @Gnodkond & Amb. Fanta Cisse discussed about security challenges, humanitarian & development issues,and the need for all stakeholders to work on inclusion and solutions. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency Representative in 🇨🇮 Olivier Beer participated in the meeting.
