Be aware, there's currently no trains to Strines station until the end of September. There's a shuttle bus service from Marple station, but it drops passengers on Station Road and isn't very reliable. It's due to landslip works taking place between Strines and New Mills.

Wow, what a shot from this weekend on Kinder Scout. Just one of the highlights of Stage 6. There's also, Mellor Moor, a high plateau offering stunning views, an Iron Age archaeological site, the ‘Roman Lakes’ and a church with the oldest wooden pulpit in England. #GMRingway
