In 2015, Jeremy Hunt pledged there would be 5000 more GPs by 2020. The Conservatives then made a key election pledge in 2019, saying there would be 6000 more GPs by 2025. In April 2024, there were actually 1759 fewer fully qualified GPs than in September 2015 🚨🚨🚨

On this issue, Nigel Farage is correct. Farmers should be given every opportunity to actually farm. Our food security depends on a robust domestic food supply. Mass-scale solar panels should not be plastered over prime farmland. Put them on brownfield sites, roofs & roads.

Spot milk price holding around 43ppl to 44ppl del. 25tBSC prices have stepped up with domestic price range now at £2.47kg to £2.50kg ex works. Export returning £2.53kg to £2.55kg ex on the back of stronger EU market with their home market put at £2.72kg to £2.76kg ex equivalent.

UK 25tBSC prices this wk £2.68 to £2.70kg ex works, exports adding 5p premium on back of stronger EU domestic prices, ranging from £2.88 to £2.97 per kg ex works equivalent. Spot milk 42ppl to 45ppl del with a little weakness in price reported if having to shift larger volumes.
