No sign of the Bluethroat all afternoon Slimbridge Sightings either. (Adrienne Sanders). #GlosBirds
A nice seasonal range of migrants thru/at Purton this am; singles of Spotted Fly and Cuckoo, 180 Swallow, 20 Sand, 12 House, Swift, 12 Yellow Wags, 2 Tree Pipit, White Wag, Garden Warbler, 50 Goldfinch, Sanderling, 5 Ringed Plover and 2 Avocet among the 68 species seen #GlosBirds
No sight or sound of the Bluethroat at Middle Point Slimbridge Sightings in perfect conditions all morning. Marsh Harrier, 6 Cranes, pr Black Swans, Yellow Wagtail, Gropper hd briefly at 10:50am. Convinced the Bluethroat just feeds in a private area on days it doesn’t show #GlosBirds
Back on patch at Saul Warth at HT 6 Whimbrels, 16 Dunlins, 3 Oystercatchers, 8 Gadwalls, drake Shoveler, 1 Little Egret, 10 Sand Martins, 6 Swallows, 3 Whitethroats, 1 male Reed Bunting, a very late pair of Stonechats & a Peacock butterfly. #Glosbirds
Early morning at Frampton sailing lake killing time until WWT opened, 2 Common Terns, 2 Common Sandpipers & the Garden Warbler still singing halfway along the southern hedge bordering the lake. #GlosBirds
Spent the morning in the familiar position of dipping the Bluethroat in good company at Middle Point Slimbridge Sightings. It may be in it's 4th year but it still hasn't developed a sense of responsibility to hopeful birders. I did have 2 showy Cuckoos✅ #GlosList 172 #GlosBirds

Frampton sailing lake 2 Common Terns, 1 Common Sandpiper, 35 Tufted Ducks, 4 Shelducks, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Lapwings, 10 Stock Doves, 1 Kingfishers, 100+ Sand Martins & 1 Garden Warbler, ✅a good bird here. With Nick goatman. Only 1 Redshank & 1 Lapwing Splatt flashes #GlosBirds
Saul Warth an Arctic Tern✅ flew high N after resting briefly on the mud, 13 Bar-tailed Godwits, 1 Avocet, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Curlew, 1 Common Sandpiper, 5 Oystercatchers, 12 Dunlins, 18 Swallows, 16 Sand Martins, 1 pair Stonechats, 2 Whitethroats, 2 Blackcaps & a Roe Deer #GlosBirds

Coombe Hill Meadows 6:15-730am 2 White Storks (ringed Knepp birds), 2 Great White Egrets, 15 Little Egrets, 1 Cattle Egret, 10 Grey Herons, 3 Whimbrels, adult Little Gull, Cuckoo heard, 6 Sedge Warblers, 6 Whitethroats & 2 Reed Buntings. Wellies recommended still. #GlosBirds
