A colleague dressed up as ‘Doug’ during our simulation falls prevention training. No one knows what it feels like to get old and have multiple co-morbidities, but this is the best that we can get. Great learning for everyone who attended today. Thank Claire

Falls link training day. Very interactive learning around medication and they increase falls risks. Thank you Chelcie for your presentation on medication prevention. Lots of useful discussion and laughter as always

A week ago we introduced the Geriatric Sim kit to our Falls Links on our brand new Study Day! The aim was to give a sense of how people with different health conditions may feel whilst in hospital. Thank you 💙 Admiral Nurse Asma 💙 for all your help 💙 Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Encouraging our patients to get up and dressed is vital. It reduces immobility, muscle deconditioning, and length of stay. The teams will be delivering deconditioning CPD, you will also see colleagues in t-shirts tomorrow. Help us spread the word to Brian Dolan OBE, RMN, RGN
