🌍Our team was on the ground in the Northern Province, engaging with community-based organizations from Musanze, Gakenke&Rulindo districts. Our goal was to skill them on effective monitoring &compliance with socio-economic&environmental safeguards in community-driven initiatives.

🌟 Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is one of our key focus areas! 🌟 A PIL case is filed in a court of law to protect, safeguard, or enforce public interest. It is important to help protect and enforce human rights for those without access due to poverty or other barriers.

Still on environment advocacy➡️Yesterday, we interacted with Community Based Organizations in Kayonza District Rwamagana District & Ngoma District. We discussed compliance & effective strategies on reporting issues that violate environment & socio-economic rights of citizens.

GLIHD has organised a workshop aimed at advocating for the integration of Media Information Literacy (MIL) in the media policy. We aimed to advocate for its incorporation into the national media policy framework through multi-stakeholder engagement &collaborative dialogue.

In Kirehe District, GLIHD in partnership with Norwegian People's Aid Rwanda with support from the EU Delegation to Rwanda conducted a street mass campaign on critical thinking & responsible consumption of digital media content-aiming at combating fake news.
